Male Anna's hummingbird - a photo on Flickriver

            This bird is perched on a dead twig of our trident maple in the back yard keeping a close watch over the hummingbird feeder we have under the eave in the back.  The head colors range from black to pink to iridescent red depending on the sun angle.
