Coastal lupines in bloom on the Morro Dunes

            These large bush lupines grow through out the dunes and were in peak bloom during our visit attracting many pollinating insects, including some large bumble bees.  This view is on the lee of the dunes looking north toward Morro Bay.  The very upper end of Shark Inlet is visible at little left of picture center. This is a really cool area with lots going on in regard to plants and bird life.
