            Revisited with Lightroom, Hasselblad color science captures colors like no other system I’ve worked with. I dialed it back the intense spectrum of blues that lifted in the sun, most photogs captured a blown out background with a dark mass. I used some skill in shooting snow on this day, perhaps I’ve been in dress rehearsal for this day and didn’t know it? Divine intervention perhaps. Yes, both rods down, fireman in period uniform, below zero windchill, a snow drift over the inside rail not cut yet by the pilot, a good mile of white steam, just a hint of oil smoke mixed in all kissed by Winter’s most beautiful storm light a few weeks in front of the Winter Solstice after a major Wyoming winter storm. I stand humbled by this incredible experience I’m glad the Lord made it possible to capture it. It was horrendously cold, and I was wet to the bone from the previous sites, thank you. I happen to love this image it blows my mind, I just can’t believe I took it.
