Le « V » du smartphone - a photo on Flickriver

            L’île de Dong-Khon (Laos) - Je m’étais écarté de ce qui fait office de route principale pour emprunter une piste caillouteuse, afin rejoindre une rivière repérée sur une carte. Oui, en voyage, je n’utilise pas le GPS de mon portable. Pour cause, il est éteint et reste systématiquement au fond de mon sac à l’hôtel. 
Je photographiais une petite cascade, pensant être seul, jusqu’à ce que je me retourne et que j’aperçoive cette petite fille qui m’observait silencieusement. Elle souriait. Après lui avoir fait un petit signe en guise de « bonjour », j’ai braqué mon objectif dans sa direction tout en me rapprochant de quelques pas. C’est là qu’elle a fait, ce qui pour moi est un double signe de la victoire, mais qui pour elle, avait probablement une autre signification. Elle avait sans doute pris mon appareil photo pour un gros smartphone.

Dong-Khon Island (Laos) - I deviated from what serves as the main road to take a stony track to reach a river that I had spotted on a map. Yes, when travelling, I do not use the GPS of my cellphone. For good reason, it is off and stays at the bottom of my bag at the hotel.
Anyway, I was photographing a small waterfall. I thought I was alone, until I turned around and saw this little girl watching me silently. She was smiling. After giving him a little "hello" wave, I pointed my lens in his direction while taking a few steps closer. This is where she does, which to me is a double sign of victory, but which to her probably had another meaning. She probably took my camera for a big smartphone.
