Scène de la vie rurale - a photo on Flickriver

            Kratié (Cambodge) - J'étais parti en repérage afin trouver un endroit photogénique pour capter un coucher de soleil. J'ai traversé plusieurs hameaux passant à proximité de nombreuses fermes typiques. Je me suis arrêté devant celle-ci car il y avait des animaux au premier plan et des jeunes qui jouaient au volley-ball. Le tout dans une douce lumière de fin de journée. Mais trouver un bon sujet à photographier n'est pas suffisant. Dans un premier temps, j'ai composé mon image en prenant soin d'intégrer les jeunes sportifs au loin. Il fallait aussi que les têtes d'au moins deux des vaches soient visibles et non plongées dans le panier. La partie gauche me semblait un peu vide. J'ai eu de la chance que le gamin à gauche entre dans mon cadre, alors que je ne l'avais pas vu arriver. Second coup de chance, à cet instant, le veau a relevé la tête, intrigué par l'enfant qui s’était soudainement mis à chanter. Quand j'ai déclenché à l'instant qui me semblait décisif, j'étais concentré sur la progression du jeune garçon et l'attitude du bétail. Je ne m'occupais plus des jeunes qui jouaient au ballon. Ce n'est que le soir, au moment du téléchargement sur mon ordinateur que j'ai réalisé qu'un des volleyeurs était en extension. 
Ce ne sont pas toujours les photos les plus spectaculaires qui demandent le plus d’énergie et de concentration. 

Rural life scene

Kratié (Cambodia) - I had gone on location scouting to find a photogenic place to capture a sunset. I crossed several hamlets passing close to many typical farms. I stopped in front of this one because there were animals in the foreground and young people playing volleyball. All in a soft light at the end of the day. But finding a good subject to photograph is not enough. At first, I composed my image taking care to integrate young athletes. It was also necessary that the heads of at least two of the cows be visible and not plunged into the basket. The left part seemed a bit empty to me. I was lucky that the kid on the left walked into my frame, when I hadn't seen him coming. And second stroke of luck, at this moment, the calf raised its head, intrigued by the child who began to sing. When I triggered at the moment that seemed decisive to me, I was concentrating on the progress of the young boy and the attitude of the cattle. I no longer took care of the young people who played ball. It wasn't until the evening, when it was downloading to my computer, that I realized that one of the volleyball players was in extension.
It is not always the most spectacular photos that require the most energy and concentration.
