            Sukhothai (Thaïlande) - Ce portrait a été fait à la demande cette femme, membre d’une brigade féminine affectée à l’entretien du parc historique de Sukhothai. Ce jour là, j’ai dû en prendre une bonne quinzaine pour faire plaisir à ces femmes, sans compter quelques photos de groupe. J’ai pu faire quelques tirages chez un photographe de quartier, que je leur ai remis dès le lendemain. Elles étaient particulièrement émues car étonnées qu’un touriste puisse s’intéresser à elles ; mais surtout, elles ne pensaient pas que je reviendrai avec les photos. C’est aussi pour ce genre de rencontres que je fais de la photo et que je voyage.

Sukhothai (Thailand) - This portrait was made at the request of this woman, a member of a female brigade assigned to the maintenance of the Sukhothai Historical Park. This kind of portrait I must have taken a good fifteen to please these women, not to mention a few group photos.
I was able to make a few prints at a neighborhood photographer that I gave them the next day. They were particularly moved because surprised that a tourist could be interested in them, but in addition, they did not think that I would come back with the photos. It is also for this kind of encounters that I take photos and travel.
