L’homme qui courait aussi vite que son chien

            Talatamaty (Madagascar) - Scène insolite et rarissime à Madagascar. Un malgache joue avec son chien. Avant que je ne prenne cette photo, je les observais depuis un moment. L'homme lui apprenait à s’asseoir quand il levait le doigt. Le chien s’exécutait en remuant la queue. Signe qu’il prenait cet apprentissage comme un jeu. L’homme le gratifiait régulièrement de caresses et lançait un morceau de bois que l’animal lui ramenait en le déposant à ses pieds. Je ne pouvais que contempler la scène car ils étaient trop loin. 
Soudain, l’homme s’est mis à courir très vite sur une vingtaine de mètres avant de d’arrêter net, imité par son animal. Le chien gambadait autour de son maître comme pour l’inciter à reprendre sa course. Ce qu’il a fait, mais là, il est parti comme un boulet de canon. Je n’avais vu que des champions olympiques avoir une telle détente. Le temps de porter mon oeil au viseur de mon appareil, il était déjà à ma hauteur. Je n’ai eu le temps que de prendre une seule photo. Je peux affirmer que cet homme courait aussi vite que son chien qui, malgré ses efforts n’a pu réussir à distancer son maître de façon significative. Ils ont couru 200 mètres environ et sont arrivés ensemble. 
Vous noterez que cet homme a des jambes démesurément longues et qu'il porte... des tongs. Et en grossissant le tirage on remarque qu’il tient un stylo à la main. Sans doute pour noter ses performances.
Il y a des jours ou je regrette de ne jamais utiliser la fonction rafale. Sur ce coup là, je pense que j’aurais eu une bien meilleure photo. Mais je reconnais cependant qu’elle me satisfait car je n’ai eu qu’une seule chance et j’ai su la saisir.


The man who ran as fast as his dog

Talatamaty (Madagascar) - Unusual and extremely rare scene in Madagascar. A Malagasy man plays with his dog. Before I took this photo, I had been watching them for a while. The man was teaching it to sit. The dog was wagging its tail, sign that it took this learning as a game. The man regularly gratified it with caresses and threw a piece of wood which the animal brought back to him by placing it at his feet. I could only contemplate the scene because they were too far away.
Suddenly, the man started running very quickly for about twenty meters before stopping dead, imitated by his animal. The dog was frolicking around its master as if to encourage him to resume his run. Which he did, but there he went like a cannonball. I had only seen Olympic champions have such relaxation. The time to put the eye to the viewfinder of my camera, it was already at my height. I only had time to take one photo. I can say that this man ran as fast as his dog who, despite his efforts, was unable to outrun his master. They ran about 200 meters and arrived together.
You will notice that this man has inordinately long legs and is wearing... flip flops and holding a pen in his hand. No doubt to note his performance.
There are days when I regret not using the burst function otherwise I think I would have had a much better photo. But I am nevertheless satisfied because I had only one chance and I knew how to seize it.
