Little bouddha

            Népal - Quartier de Bodnath à Katmandou. Je venais de faire une série de photos dans le monastère. Quand je suis sorti, il s'est mis à pleuvoir. Une violente pluie de mousson. Je me suis réfugié à l'entrée d'un magasin où ce jeune moinillon était déjà à l'abri. Je n'ai pas résisté à l'envie de le photographier. Je pense que ça lui faisait plaisir, mais il n'a manifesté aucun enthousiasme quand je lui ai montré la photo sur l'écran de mon boîtier. Je crois qu'il a esquissé un très léger sourire, mais je n'en suis par certain. Il était sans doute impressionné par mon matériel photographique… Ou alors, il a trouvé ma photo nulle !?

Nepal - Bodnath district in Kathmandu. I had just taken a series of photos in the monastery. When I got out it started to rain. Heavy monsoon rain. I took refuge at the entrance of a store where this young monk was already sheltered. I couldn't resist the urge to photograph him, but he showed no enthusiasm when I showed him the photo on my camera screen. I think he gave a very slight smile, but I'm not sure. He was undoubtedly impressed by my photographic equipment… Or, he found my photo null !?
