What you see here is the result of rushing things, it is called instant film but getting there requires a lot more time.
My first mistake: Using fresh developer paste. Because of my subpar equipment the fresh developer paste is not mixed thoroughly enough resulting in variations in density in the picture. Letting the developer paste sit for about 4 weeks solves this problem.
The second mistake: Using developer pods from the day before. My design for the pods makes it necessary to let them age a little. There is a little strip of paper which has to soak in developer and get soft so the pods reliably break during processing. Sometimes one day is enough for that, in this case it wasn't. At least the paste covered everything important in the picture.
