BR Class 58 Nos 58033 & 58042 Shirebrook TMD - 25.x.1990

            A view looking north from the bottom of the TMD Yard of the long-closed Shirebrook Diesel Depot (TMD) on 25th October 1990.
In the foreground are Class 58 Nos 58033 and 58042 'Ironbridge Power Station'
The T11 Trip Tanks (Fuel delivered to the Diesel Depot) behind a pair of Class 20 locos head north away from Shirebrook Station Signal Box (MR 1890). 
Shirebrook Junction Signal Box (MR 1899) is visible in the distance beyond the remains of the MR Shirebrook West Station and the road bridge. 
Shirebrook Diesel Depot was built on the site of the station goods yard. The right hand splitter signal on the distant gantry is for the curve round to the LD & ECR main line to Edwinstowe, Tuxford & CEGB High Marnham Power Station.

This scene changed out of all recognition following the opening of the Robin Hood Line.
