            The Gallipoli Battle or the Gallipoli Battle is the sea and land battle between the Ottoman Empire and the Entente Powers during the First World War between 1915 and 1916 on the Gallipoli Peninsula. Entente States; To capture the control of the straits of Istanbul and the Dardanelles by taking Istanbul as the capital of the Ottoman Empire and to secure a supply of supplies and military supply with Russia and to weaken the Allied Powers by excluding one of Germany's allies from war by seizing the capital Istanbul they chose the Dardanelles Strait as their first target. But the attacks failed and were forced to retreat. Both sides suffered very heavy losses as a result of the land and sea battle
