Troublesome Tugs Treble - a photo on Flickriver

            GB Railfreight Class 60, 60056 hauls classmates 60085 "Adept" and 60026 "Helvellyn" through Plumley on 6E17 13:02 Liverpool Biomass Terminal to Drax Power Station.

The two additional 60s were DIT (Dead In Train) along with 25 biomass IIA-D wagons (19 loaded, 6 empty) resulting in a train some 500 metres long and just shy of 2,300 tonnes (including 60056).

What effectively is the last working of the week to Drax is regularly used to ferry locos to Doncaster (where the train goes the following day as 6D99) for attention/exam.  In the case of the 60s, they are first taken to Doncaster prior to DB Cargo tripping them to Toton.

60085 had failed the previous day on 6M77, after itself being dispatched to rescue 60087 and its train, which had sat down on its outward journey near Northwich.  60026 had also been laid up since earlier in the week.

Fortunately, 60056 was in good health as it passed through Plumley at a rate of knots.
