Bärnbach (A) - "Gold - zur Ehre Gottes?"

            Pfarrkirche Bärnbach, allgemein als Hundertwasserkirche bekannt.

Am 12. Oktober 1987 begannen die Umbauarbeiten durch Hundertwasser in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Architekten Manfred Fuchsbichler und dauerten bis in den Sommer 1988 an. Hundertwasser verzichtete dabei auf ein Honorar für seine Arbeit und bezahlte die Vergoldung des Kirchturmes selbst.  

Von Juni bis Oktober 2016 wurden die Kugeln auf dem Kirchendach sowie die Turmzwiebel neu vergoldet.
