Here We Go Again !! - a photo on Flickriver

            There is something about being out airside at an airfield or airport - I like the flat landscape for one and also being up close to the aircraft . Here we have a Tiger Moth doing circuits and manoeuvres for a group of about a dozen of us for various shots at different angles at an Aviation Photo-workshop back in 2022  . Back in the day I have been up close to  Hercules , a Shackleton , seen a Vulcan come into land , and been closely followed by a Jet Provost as I legged it along a taxi-way to remove and obstruction ! However , my claim to fame as some of you know is to have laid down in the centre of Gatwick Airport runway reading the Amateur Photographer magazine whilst the runway was " Live " ! I have to add all was above board , I was minding a target tripod whilst the rest of the team were at the other end of the runway - all under the watchful eyes of a CAA van in contact with the control tower and if it flashed it's lights I knew to pick up the tripod and move to the grass at the side . As it happened this was back in the early 1970's and working in the spring at a very early hour we ended up with the runway to ourselves . 
  Walk down memory lane over and this is just one of many shots from that day at Old Warden !!
