The Great Escape - Eventually ! - a photo on Flickriver

Taken for SSC 13/04/2019 - Animal / Animals in mono .
A great subject to tackle so it was a case of off down to the river where I knew there would be some horses in a field next to the river - there have been horses here for donkeys years ( if that term fits here ) . I spotted the horses over the other side of the field and took a shot of them before going round to the other side - see shot in first comment box .
So round the field to the horses and after a few shots I settled on this character having a nibble at the fence as he kept showing his teeth as he chewed as well as making an odd sound in his throat ever time he bit into the timber ( I can capture images but sound does not come over on a photograph ) .
I concentrated on a head shot as there was a great expression plus I could aim to catch small details such as eyelashes etc .
