            Lake Como (Lago di Como) is the third largest lake in Italy. At the same time, it is the deepest lake in the Alps and one of the deepest in Europe. Its fragmentation causes the length of the coastline to cross the shores of Lakes Garda and Maggiore taken together. The shape of the lake on the map resembles an inverted letter Y.
The most important resorts on Lago di Como are Varenna, Bellagio and Menaggio.
