Le manoir est situé dans le village historique du pays, avec vue sur la ville et placé dans une position dominante
La première mention du château et le village de Dolceacqua date de 1177 dans un ancien document dans lequel il représente la propriété de Comtes de Vintimille. Il sera 1270, presque cent ans plus tard, que la succession et son manoir seront achetés par Oberto Doria .

The first mention of the castle and the village of Dolceacqua dates from 1177 in an ancient document in which it represents the property of Comtes de Ventimiglia. It will be 1270, almost a hundred years later, that the estate and his mansion will be purchased by Oberto Doria.
