Highland Posy - a photo on Flickriver

Highland Posy

            Not clearly visible from this shot this little oasis of colour sits on a tiny island (no more than a rocky outcrop one could argue) in a remote Scottish Loch. Surrounded by the dark waters of the loch, which itself is surrounded by featureless Scottish barren scrubland, the splash of colour caught my eye, and while not particularly spectacular in this photograph it was quite eye catching in its overall location, which if I had included here would have meant losing the beauty of these flowers due to the scale of the overall scene.
