Approaching Sunset at Balnakeil - a photo on Flickriver

            Balnakeil beach is situated on the extreme north western edge of mainland Scotland near the village of Durness. Its beach of near white sand is surrounded by grassy dunes with the rocky headland of Faraid Head at it northern end.
I had hoped for a colourful sunset but the clouds made the scene quite flat and grey so what I planned as a colour extravaganza turns into what, I hope, is a moody monochrome seascape!
