Eilean nan craobhan - a photo on Flickriver

            Sitting Adjacent to the A837 road in Scotland’s far North West lies the small Loch of Loch Awe (not to be confused with its much larger namesake further south in Argyll and Bute). 
I drove past this Loch many times and was attracted by this group of trees which sat on a small island just in the Loch. Grabbing the opportunity of some drier weather I made my way down to the loch, bypassing the many other photographers taking pictures of a small rowing boat on the shore, and took this composition, which is my personal favourite out of the two. 
The island has no name on the maps I have so I gave it a Gaelic name of the Island of Trees.
