Engemann Store Model - a photo on Flickriver

            For my Grandmothers 90 birthday party many years ago, I built this doll house size 1"=1' representation of her fathers store. 
Some of the accessories were purchased items but a lot of it I hand crafted myself.
My Aunt who was a doll maker crafted the Wm. Engemann figurine for me based on the original photo. All of the fruits and vegetables I made from Fimo clay. The building itself as well as all the cabinets, shelving, ice chest, sales counter and vegetable stand I constructed from scale model wood.
A lot of artistic license was used in the construction but I was merely trying to represent what I saw in the original photo.
This project took several months to build and even had working electric lamps. Needless to say Grandma was thrilled upon seeing this and brought her to tears of joy.
