Here are some camel facts.....

1. Camels can drink up to 40 gallons of water in one go.
2.Camels can travel at up to 40 miles an hour. The same as a racehorse.
3. Mothers carry their calves for up to 14 months before giving birth.
4. There are over 160 words for camel in Arabic.
5. A camel has a lifespan of about 40 years.
6. They weigh between 600 and 1000 kg when fully grown.
7. They have three sets of eyelids and two rows of eyelashes to keep sand out of their eyes.
8. Camels are able to shut their nostrils during sandstorms.
