A Turn in the Rio Grande with a Big Bend Backdrop (Black & White, Big Bend National Park)

            A view looking to the east from a slight rise and overlook along the Santa Elena Canyon. What I wanted to capture with this view was just that sweeping bend and turn of the Rio Grande as it came out of the canyon area and then made a turn in front of the Big Bend landscape. By angling my SLR camera slightly downward, I found that sweeping bend became more prominent. I later converted to black & white using Silver Efex Pro 2 where I used some color filters to bring out a much richer tonal contrast for the final image.
