Black-spotted Longhorn Beetle - Schwarzfleckiger Zangenbock

             Rhagium mordax belongs to the family Cerambycidae and has a length of 13 - 22 mm. The species occurs mainly in woodland throughout Europe and Asia. On sunny days it can be found on stumps of various deciduous trees like oaks, beeches and birches or on the flowers of umbelliferous plants. You can find them from May through August.
