45118 + 47810 | 5Z46 At Filton Abbey Wood 26/07/24

            45118 'The Royal Artilleryman' powers the 209 minute late 5Z46 0852 Crewe H.S. to Bristol East Depot past Filton Abbey Wood.

The 45 had failed near Abergavenny earlier in the day with a auxiliary voltage regulator fault, leading to 47810 being summoned from Crewe as 1Z99 to rescue the 5Z46. In the end, a loose wire was discovered on 45118 and 47810 was instead added to the rear of the consist as insurance from Panteg Loop to Bristol East Depot.
On 27/07/24, 45118 worked the InterCity Tours "The Diamond Jubilee Express" charter from Bristol Temple Meads to York and return as planned.
