the flying fox... - a photo on Flickriver

the flying fox...

            Three species of fruit bats occur in Kruger, Peter's Epaulette Fruit Bat, Wahlberg's Epaulette Fruit Bat and Egyptian Fruit Bat. They are quite large (Can weigh up to 1.5 kilograms) and are often referred to as flying foxes.

This one (at Babalala picnic spot) is an  Epaulette Fruit Bat but does not show enough to determine which one of the two and was hanging straight above me in a tree..
