¤ Cable car to Dursey Island. Dursey Loop | Ireland

            The cable car connects Peninsula Beara with Island Dursey. On Dursey we walked 4 hours in rain to the end of this island and we returned... Arriving again on Beara sun came also back - we felt little bit laughed...
The cable car specially is used for the transport of sheeps and cows... we saw this a year before in television and noted it to visit.

Die Kabinenbahn von Dursey verbindet die Halbinsel Beara mit der kleinen Insel. In einer TV-Dokumentation über den Westen Irlands hatten wir dies zuvor gesehen. Leider wanderten wir in eine Schlechtwetterfront, kaum als wir aus der Gondel gestiegen waren. Der vierstündige Regenmarsch im Nebel bis zur Spitze der Insel und zurück hat trotzdem Spaß gemacht.  Da sieht man mal, ob die Regenklamotten auch wirklich dicht sind. Sind sie nicht... Kaum wieder auf dem Festland abgesetzt, kam die Sonne hervor. Wir fühlten uns ausgelacht. Auf der Rückfahrt fuhren wir durch an stillgelegten Kupferminen vorbei und hielten in einem Museum mit Cafe (Copper Cafe). Hey, den irische Karottenkuchen vermisse ich wirklich (auch wenn das Stück meist 5-6 Euro kostete)
