In Memmingen - a photo on Flickriver

In Memmingen

            At the Marktplatz, the centre of this beautiful Swabian town. In the background you see the Renaissance townhall, built in 1589, with its Rococo façade, which it  acquired in the 18th century. On the left you see a  part of the Steuerhaus ("Taxhouse"), which was built in 1494/95 and was originally two-storeyed. In 1708 a third storey was added.  The façade painting dates back to 1909.
