CP 2292, 6073, 5025 9WWA-7 Derailed at Watertown, WI. JUN 7, 2025 A

            Sometimes things don't always go as planned. Here, the Canadian Pacific Kansas City's empty GPS balllast train is derailed on the Wisconsin & Southern's Watertown sub, just west of Watertown. The crew came across a sun kink 28 cars back and deemed it safe to cross. Unknown to the engineer, the trailing truck on the trailing locomotive (CP 5025) rolled the rail over. The engineer continued to roll downgrade, increasing throttle notches, derailing 27 cars, until one of the shotgunned loads dug into the ballast, bringing the show to an end. Sometimes things don't always go as planned....
