The Old City Hall of Delft - a photo on Flickriver

            The Old City Hall of Delft is a renaissance building dating from 1618-1620, designed by architect Hendrick de Keyser after the medieval ''raadhuis'' burned down in 1618.

The oldest city hall of Delft was constructed around 1200, and renovated in 1400 and built around the oldest building in the city:  the ''Oude Steen'', a belfry from 1275 that survived the fire of 1618.

Nowadays, the Old City Hall is one of the most beautiful examples of Dutch Renaissance, and a prominent feature of the Market Square among with the Butter Hall and the lofty Nieuwe Kerk.
