La Iruela (Jaén)

            La Iruela: es un municipio español al este de la provincia de Jaén, Andalucía. Se encuentra en las faldas de la Sierra de Cazorla, coronando el valle del Guadalquivir.
El castillo medieval de origen almohade, construido sobre cimientos pre-bereberes que se encarama en lo más alto de la villa constituye uno de los símbolos más elocuentes de la comarca así como las ruinas de la Iglesia de Santo Domingo, renacentista levantada en el interior del recinto del castillo en el siglo XVI.
