WWII Cromwell Mk.IV ''Little Audrey'' Cruiser Tank, Round Covert, Ickburgh.

            The memorial was inaugurated on October 23rd 1998 by Field Marshal Lord Carver. It's situated two miles north of Munford on the A1065.
 The lower plaque was added and inagurated during the open day on June 27th 2004 in the presence of Brigadier Adrian Bradshaw.
 The 7th Armoured Division were based at Thetford Forest in 1944 between January and May while preparing for the invasion of Normandy (this was their one and only time based in the United Kingdom in it's entire existance). The Division sailed from Felixstowe on June 5th, with the first tanks landing on Gold Beach on the evening of June 6th 1944.
 The tank used on this memorial is a replica of "Little Audrey" 5 Able, 'B' Squadron 1st Royal Tank Regiment. Built between 1945-1955 just over 4,000 were produced, seeing front line service with the Allied Invasion of Europe during the Second World War.
 One of the series of Cruiser Tanks produced by Britain during the Second World War, named after the Civil War leader Oliver Cromwell.
