NS 747. Wabun, Va.

            This was a strange, but pleasant surprise yesterday. A friend messaged me saying dispatch was talking to a 747 and they were going to send it west out of Roanoke onto the Whitethorne district. For one, it's pretty rare that a westbound will take this line, and two, this train normally runs north onto the Roanoke District. I had a feeling the Lehigh Valley heritage unit was somewhere on the train, so I grabbed my camera and went out. A little after 1pm, decent light was hard to come by, but we found some nose light here at the West River Rd crossing in Wabun, Va., and luckily 8104 was the leader.
