            SANTÍSIMO CRISTO DE LA BUENA MUERTE
Stmo. Cristo de la Buena Muerte. Crucificado, realizado en madera de ciprés policromada de tamaño menor del natural (1,60), de principios del siglo XVII continúa siendo obra anónima, aunque por su similitud con el cristo de la salud de la Hdad. de la Carretería de Sevilla se puede atribuir a Matías de la Cruz.
Restaurado entre octubre de 2000 y marzo de 2001 por el imaginero Juan Manuel Miñarro, ha recuperado la encarnadura del Siglo XVIII, la talla representa a Cristo ya muerto con su cabeza reclinada, boca entornada y unos ojos que cansados se dejan caer pesados en un dulce sueño. Sin embargo, esa placidez de su rostro (de ahí su nombre a partir de ser cedido a la Hermandad), contrasta con su cuerpo aun tenso e inflamado en el que quedan patentes las secuelas de la Pasión, cuyos músculos indican que no ha sido fácil abrir la puerta de la Esperanza a los hombres. Anecdóticamente se cuenta que este crucificado, que al menos desde principio de siglo XX (ya figura en el inventario de la parroquia de 1903) se encontraba en la sacristía de Santiago bajo un dosel de terciopelo rojo, que bien conocía ya a los gitanos, pues ante Él solían celebrarse muchas de sus bodas y bautizos.HOLY CHRIST OF THE GOOD DEATH
