"Blue upon a Sea of Green" - a photo on Flickriver

Bluebells put on a dazzling display in Ashridge Forest, Hertfortshire, England.
" This Green and Pleasant Land ", doesn`t really do it justice.

Update; Just to say that these are the real English Bluebells and not the Spanish imports that are cross breeding with them and wiping them out. Only 1 in 9 bluebell woods are the English type! Dig up and burn any Spanish ones you have in your garden. You can buy genuine bulbs.
And the difference between the 2? Worlds apart! Zoom in on my pic.
The English ones are a much darker blue, They have long bells of flowers and not wide ones like the Spanish and there growth is much more refined and not as rigid as the imports.
They dance sweetly in the breeze and have a lovely scent.!!!
