A hawk and his lunch ... - a photo on Flickriver

We heard the squawking again... sounds like a Kookaburra...I kid you not. Looked up in the huge poplar across the street... and finally saw two of them waaaayyy up in the branches...
At first I thought...awww that's cute.. hanging out together as a couple... love birds.... but, then... I sprinted for the camera and discovered the bigger guy was tearing some poor hapless creature to pieces. I tried not to notice that and attempted some photos while trying to stay upright in 90 kph winds. Finally had to use a garbage bin to steady myself... ridiculous. And, the fronds of the new growth on the tree kept waving in front of the lens and the bird and there were plenty of great shots of the tree.
But, finally, I got several shots good enough to crop severely and added a bit of light ... and, here he is.
I think it is a Cooper's Hawk....
