Winter Wattle

            Australian icon decorates roadsides and gardens, anywhere sun sneaks in. This specimen, Brisbane wattle (Acacia fimbriata), seeded in a gloomy spot in my Gold Coast hinterland garden from bird droppings and pushed its way out  into the sunshine.
