Ghost of Aurora's past... - a photo on Flickriver

            As I was watching the Aurora Borealis from my backyard this ghostly shape formed, taking the form of a head and arms. I wondered if an otherworldly presence was making itself known to me. Was this a malevolent being coming to haunt my night or a friendly specter paying me a visit? It remained in the sky for a while, swinging it's arms. The wind picked up just at that moment, whistling through the trees and slicing through my jacket with the cold of a hundred icicles. I shivered as I held down the shutter release for several seconds to capture this ethereal creature in the sky.
