A Wilson's Snipe (Galinago delicata) takes a moment

            I saw a lot of snipes at Potter Marsh just outside Anchorage, Alaska. They are beautifully colored birds and it's quite fun to watch their behavior as they look like a sewing machine when they thrust their bills into the mud up and down, searching for food.
