Route diverted! Lothiancountry 1037 at Saint Andrew Square, Edinburgh.

            Fleet number 1037 was seen on the south side of Saint Andrew Square following a short closure of the east end of Princes Street after a suspicious package was reported.. West Lothian services which normally terminate at Regent Road were diverted to the north side of Saint Andrew Square. 1037 has left the temporary terminus and started out round the square on the X18 to Whitburn. On the extreme left is the former Prudential Assurance building at No. 1, designed by Alfred Waterhouse & Son, 1892-5. The building immediately to its right was an extension (built 1923-5) to the former R W Forsyth store on Princes Street. Previous to its arrival and refurbishment in Edinburgh in 2018, the vehicle was with London operator, Metroline West.
