Lothian 1053 at the foot of The Mound, Edinburgh.

            Fleet number 1053 was seen in worsening wintry conditions at the foot of The Mound working a 27 from Hunter’s Tryst in the southern suburbs to Silverknowes, on the shores of the Forth. The bus - new in 2018 - has descended the slope from the Old Town and is about to cross Princes Street and the tramway. The domed structure on the skyline is the Outlook Tower or Camera Obscura while the flats on the right are in prestigious Ramsay Garden, overlooking West Princes Street Gardens.
