Die Orangerie Gotha gilt als eine der größten und schönsten barocken Orangerieanlagen im deutschsprachigen Raum. Ihre Ursprünge gehen bis auf das Jahr 1711 zurück, die heutige Anlage entstand zwischen 1747 und 1774 nach Plänen des Baumeisters Gottfried Heinrich Krohne für Herzog Friedrich III. von Sachsen-Gotha-Altenburg.
