            Situé dans une rue piétonne au coeur de Saverne, le restaurant la Taverne Katz ne passe pas inaperçu. Sa magnifique façade sculptée à colombages illustre le style de la Renaissance allemande. Edifié en 1605 par Henri Katz, receveur général de l’évêché, le bâtiment est aujourd’hui devenu un site emblématique du Bas-Rhin (Alsace). 

Located in a pedestrian street in the heart of Saverne, the restaurant La Taverne Katz does not go unnoticed. Its magnificent carved half-timbered facade illustrates the style of the German Renaissance. Built in 1605 by Henri Katz, general receiver of the bishopric, the building has now become an emblematic site in the Bas-Rhin (Alsace).
