If I could turn back time... - a photo on Flickriver

            WEEK 21 – Southaven Walmart, 2015 Remodel (I)

It seems like, every time I upload a really old photo from within the deepest depths of my archives, I always write something to the effect of “this is the last really old photo I have hanging around in my backlog”… only to inevitably come back later and upload yet another really old photo, and write the same thing in that photo’s description, creating a never-ending cycle. The fact that I recognize this pattern, you’d think, would be the first step to learning not to repeat it yet again; and yet, at the risk of once more going down that rabbit hole, I do have to say that I truly do not think that we will be seeing another image taken way back in 2014 uploaded to my photostream from here on out. But, uh, maybe go ahead and take that with a grain of salt, just in case. 

It would probably behoove me to also explain *why* it is that we’re rewinding the clock all the way back to 2014 on this Tuesday in 2021. That task will be handled in the next few descriptions, so be sure to scroll forward for the details. In the meantime, I do want to just briefly also comment here that this particular image was taken in my favorite camera-app mode, Posterize, on my old Motorola Photon Q – my very first smartphone. Comparatively few photos from that one have made it onto my flickr page, because for the most part my retail photography career only took off from 2015 onward, at which point I had swapped phones to my long-running LG G2.
