Wetland flood - a photo on Flickriver

Wetland flood

            We had stormy weather Saturday, resulting in flooding in areas, including the wetlands. The bridge edges had been under water on Saturday, but by Sunday the water was just below that level, leaving the path open. I went in looking for flight shots (got a few ducks), and turned back to leave, when I spotted this blue heron standing in the deep water not more than 10 feet/3 meters from me! Nice opportunity for some shots!
