Loco Ty2 1129 | Ketrzyn, PKP | 1991

            Romping through a tranquil Masurian woodland past Gierloz is loco Ty2-1129 upon 11.50 Ketrzyn-Wegorzewo passenger.  
The site is the infamous Wolfschanze, the WW2 Eastern Headquarters at Rastenburg, requiring three railway platforms along the secondary route to Angerburg and a small part discernible here as a ruin.
Route 508 Ketrzyn-Wegorzewo lost its passenger services a year later but with freight continuing on through the decade.
The line survives today threading the complex of partially destroyed wartime bunkers. Indeed an interesting location and history.
