Foundation stone of Gulnare Memorial Institute, laid by C N Jones, 27th Battalion 1st AIF, South Australia

            Gulnare Memorial Institute formerly Gulnare Institute

Foundation day of the Gulnare Institute was held on 3 May 1905 when the stone was laid by Mrs W P Cummins, wife of one of the members for the district.
The new building was opened on 10 August 1905.

Later years saw changes giving the hall a modern appearance and being renamed Gulnare Memorial Institute. 
The foundation stone of the new institute was laid by C N Jones, Esquire, 27th Battalion AIF on 18 April 1959.
Subscriptions were by residents of Gulnare in honour of those who served in World War Two 1939–1945.
Dedication was by Canon Shelby-James and declared open by T E Ashby, on behalf of the Gulnare War Memorial Committee.
