Im Jahr 1833 wurde am Ostufer der Pfaueninsel der hölzerne Fregattenschuppen errichtet, ein Bootshaus für das Segelschiff Royal Louise. Diese auf knapp 18 Meter Deckslänge verkleinerte, hochseetüchtige Kopie einer Fregatte hatte ihren Namen im Gedenken an die bereits 1810 verstorbene Königin Luise erhalten. Die Lustyacht war 1831 nach dem gemeinsamen Sieg über Napoleon als Geschenk des britischen Königs Wilhelm IV. an den preußischen König Friedrich Wilhelm III. in den Royal Dockyards in Woolwich gebaut und 1832 zur Pfaueninsel überführt worden.

In 1833, the wooden frigate shed, a boathouse for the sailing ship Royal Louise, was built on the east shore of Peacock Island. This seaworthy copy of a frigate, reduced to a deck length of just under 18 metres, was named in memory of Queen Luise, who died in 1810. The pleasure yacht was built in 1831 after the joint victory over Napoleon as a gift from the British King William IV to the Prussian King Frederick William III at the Royal Dockyards in Woolwich and transferred to Peacock Island in 1832.
