Gaardus - a photo on Flickriver

Gaardus

            Thanks to the Kardas Dragons, the Voya Region is avoided by even the strongest warriors. But sometimes, curiosity can overpower fear. A few brave expeditions have visited the region, seeking to survey the land and discover its secrets. Other than the great slab which blocks the legendary staircase, there is little of interest, with the Dragons regularly destroying even the smallest irregularity. But there is one thing that can be found. This mysterious statue can be found about a Kio south by south-east from the slab. The six-armed figure is certainly imposing, but almost nothing is known about it. The base has a name on it: Gaardus. Other than the name, the only thing certain is the composition. It is made of Impervium, the same invulnerable substance that makes up the universe's outer boundary, rendering the statue immune to damage and being moved. Many have speculated as to the statue's meaning, but without more clues, it remains an enigma.

Gaardus was a great being. Curious of how the residents of the GSR would evolve over time, and sick of the company of their fellows, Gaardus created the statue to house their mind. With the impervious statue keeping them safe, they now use the Iden built into it to explore the universe. While they have mostly remained a passive observer, Gaardus sometimes grows bored, using their Iden to possess robots to pull "pranks". While these pranks used to be more elaborate, Gaardus has regained them in after a prank against Chirox nearly killed Mata-Nui. Gaardus is currently keeping an eye on Metru-Nui, eager to see how Teridax's plan will inevitably fail. And if it doesn't? Well, that would be even more interesting to watch.
