Treeline at Mawnan

            Another image from the first trip out with the Canon 5Diii.  Mawnan Smith sits at the edge of the Helford Passage on the more gentle southern coast of Cornwall.  I grew up in Falmouth just a few miles away and most of my family still live here and hereabouts.

This photo was actually taken from the beach, looking up towards the ridge near where the car was parked.  The clouds were throwing out some bold yellows and pinks, but I thought I'd try the finished version in mono as I liked the contrast of the white clouds in the top left corner, followed by the dark smudge that beckoned a race back to the car on the hillside before the rain joined us.
